Baylor University today announced the second-highest fundraising year in Baylor’s history, with more than $192 million given by alumni, parents and friends during the 2025 fiscal year (FY25). More than 26,000 alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends gave generously in support of areas across the University, including faculty research, academic programming, character development initiatives, scholarships and more in gifts, pledges and planned gifts.
“We are deeply moved and profoundly grateful for the unwavering generosity of the Baylor Family,” said Baylor President Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D. “Their continued support of Baylor University over the past year is a powerful reflection of our shared commitment to the University's Christian mission, and it's truly humbling to witness how faithfully the Baylor Family invests in the lives of students, faculty and staff. Whether supporting scholarships through the Extend the Line initiative or the many academic and leadership programs that are shaping tomorrow’s Christian leaders, the Baylor Family – who gives so generously of their time, talents and treasure – impacts the future of this University in immeasurable ways.”
Extending the Line
A significant portion of gifts and pledges during FY25 were made in support of Extend the Line, a scholarship fundraising initiative which aims to raise $250 million by 2030. The initiative was launched publicly in February, and in its first fiscal year, Extend the Line has raised $42,922,257 in scholarship support, with 99 new scholarships established. The initiative was launched to help ensure a Baylor education remains accessible and affordable for both current and prospective students.
“It is heartening to witness the response of Baylor’s donors to the Extend the Line scholarship initiative,” said Jason Diffenderfer, vice president of University Advancement. “With the launch of this initiative, we asked our Baylor Family to give as they could to support Baylor students through scholarships, and the response to this call has been inspiring. Through the Extend the Line initiative, our Baylor Family truly is fueling dreams and funding futures.”
From June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025, 26,349 donors gave 47,085 gifts to Baylor University, totaling $192,434,110. These gifts funded numerous areas from scholarships in support of Extend the Line to faculty chairs and research funds to student success programming. In April, nearly 3,900 donors gave 4,600 gifts, raising $2.2 million in support during Baylor’s 2025 Giving Day. Baylor’s alumni continue to lead in their giving, representing 64% of Baylor’s total donors.
The University also saw 80 families join the Old Main Society in recognition of their inclusion of the institution in their estate plans. Baylor Parents continue to grow in their support, with non-alumni parents making up 19% of donors. Baylor Parents came together this year through the Baylor Parent Fund to support everything on campus from the Paul L. Foster Success Center to Baylor Libraries’ study commons and Student Life initiatives.
