WACO, Texas (March 26, 2024) – With strong demand from prospective students, including record-shattering applications for Fall 2024, Baylor University has introduced a waitlist for the incoming fall class. Applicants have been contacted to add their name to the waitlist and will be notified if space becomes available.

Additionally, to help ease the burden for students and families experiencing uncertainty and delays with the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), Baylor has announced these key deadline updates:

  • May 1: Housing Priority Deadline
  • June 15: Deposit Deadline or Until Capacity is Reached

However, even with continued FAFSA delays, if a student has completed the CSS Profile, Baylor is able to provide an estimated financial aid package called the Initial Aid Summary

Students who know that Baylor is their final choice are encouraged to pay their deposit now to secure their spot in the incoming class. Baylor expects a fall headcount of more than 3,500 freshmen, and the profile is shaping up to be the most impressive yet.

“It’s been inspiring to witness the incredible quality of students who have applied to Baylor in this record-breaking year,” said Mary Herridge, associate vice president of enrollment management. “These highly talented BU28 students are already exhibiting the University’s core commitments of academic excellence, leadership and service, and I have no doubt they will thrive in our caring community of world scholars.”

5,000 visitors expected for April 13 Premiere

The deposit deadline announcement comes in advance of Baylor Premiere, which will be held in person for the first time since fall 2019. On Saturday, April 13, more than 5,000 visitors are expected to attend Premiere, including high school juniors, seniors and prospective transfer students who are considering Baylor as their future college home.

Beginning at the spectacular new “front door” to Baylor’s beautiful and vibrant campus – the Mark and Paula Hurd Welcome Center – Premiere provides opportunities for prospective students to explore campus and learn more about academics, admissions and financial aid processes (in English and Spanish) and student life at Baylor. Registration is available at on the Baylor Undergraduate Admissions website
