Birmingham Times: Second Chances: Prison Fellowship Academy Transforms Lives
This column about the success of the months-long, intensive Prison Fellowship Academy that uses evidence-based practices to help incarcerated men and women unlearn negative thought patterns and replace them with healthy ones cites a study led by Baylor sociologist Byron Johnson, Ph.D., founding director of the Baylor Institute for Studies of Religion, which found that the program in Minnesota resulted in a benefit of $3 million for the state.

Waco Tribune-Herald: Baylor University Police Department gets new chief
Baylor University has a new chief to lead the Baylor Police Department. John Kolinek, who had been serving as assistant chief, was sworn in as chief Tuesday in a ceremony at Pat Neff Hall. The news also was covered by Security Magazine.
