10/27-28: TxDOT to Close Two Northbound Ramps Overnight for Mainlane Reconstruction
Impacted ramps include northbound exit ramp for 4th/5th-University Parks-MLK Blvd. (Exit #335A), entrance ramp at 17th Street
WACO, Texas (Oct. 27, 2021) - Please note the planned TxDOT overnight closures of a northbound mainlane and northbound entrance/exit ramp, which are needed to allow crews to slightly shift the temporary ramps for continued mainlane reconstruction.
TONIGHT (Wed, Oct. 27) at 7 p.m.: Closed – Northbound Exit Ramp for 4th/5th-University Parks Drive-MLK Blvd (Exit 335A)
Crews plan to close the northbound Exit 335A ramp for 4th/5th-University Parks Drive-MLK Blvd and the outside northbound mainlane from 12th to 4th Streets tonight (Wednesday, Oct. 27) at 7 p.m.
- During this time, crews will shift the temporary ramp to the north, which will open up work locations to continue reconstructing the mainlanes.
- Drivers who need to exit at 4th/5th-University Parks-MLK Blvd (Exit 335A) will be directed to exit at 18th/17th Streets (Exit 334A).
- All mainlanes and the exit ramp are expected to reopen by 6 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28.
The exit ramp will be in the same configuration as it is now, and drivers will use a similar traffic pattern when exiting the interstate.
THURSDAY, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. – Northbound Entrance Ramp at 17th Street
Crews plan to close the northbound entrance ramp at 17th Street and the outside northbound mainlane from 17th to 5th Street on Thursday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m.
- During this time, crews will shift the temporary ramp to the north, which will open up work locations to continue reconstructing the mainlanes.
- All mainlanes and the entrance ramp are expected to reopen by 6 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 29.
The entrance ramp will be in the same configuration as it is now, and drivers will use a similar traffic pattern when entering the interstate.
