by Cacey Vigil, student newswriter, Baylor University Media and Public Relations WACO, Texas (Dec. 18, 2019) – Baylor University will be closed for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays from Dec. 23 through Jan. 2. Some facilities on campus will operate under varying schedules during the break. The following is a list of university facility hours and closures for the break.
Residence Halls
Residence halls close for winter break on Dec. 18 at noon and will reopen Jan. 5 at 3 p.m. for students participating in Panhellenic sorority recruitment and Jan. 9 at 8 a.m. for new and returning students.
Dining Areas

Libraries and Study Areas
Central Libraries:
- Dec. 15: Open 1 p.m. to 3 a.m.
- Dec. 16-21: Open 7 a.m. to 1 a.m.
- Dec. 22-Jan. 5: Closed
Armstrong Browning Library:
- Dec. 16-20: Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Dec. 21: Open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Dec. 22-Jan. 5: Closed
Law Library:
- Dec. 16-19: Open 7 a.m. to midnight
- Dec. 21-Jan 4: Closed

- Dec. 16: Open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Dec. 17: Open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

- Dec. 21: Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Dec. 22-Jan. 5: Closed
- The rock-climbing wall will be open Dec. 13-17 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will be closed Dec. 18-Jan. 12.

- Dec. 17-19: Open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
