Premier Fasttrac Program Now Accepting Applications
WACO, Texas - Designed for entrepreneurs by entrepreneurs, the Premier FastTrac program for business entrepreneurs is set to begin another session during the first week of February 1997.
The FastTrac program has two courses. FastTrac I is a program for aspiring entrepreneurs, those with careers in transition and those wishing to test the feasibility of their ideas. FastTrac II is for practicing entrepreneurs and small business owners. It is designed to help them develop a plan for their business. Each intensive course is a tested, comprehensive and dynamic, educationally-based program from which participants will walk away with their own professional operational, marketing and business plans.
During fall 1996, more than 40 entrepreneurs participated in the first Premier FastTrac program held in Central Texas. Forty-four volunteers worked on 10 committees to facilitate the Premier FastTrac program. In addition, there were two instructors, six business counselors and 18 Baylor students involved with the fall classes.
Waco businessmen Pat Holiday, president of Product Development and Marketing Company, and Allan Morris, senior vice president of First Waco National Bank, served as instructors and will continue to lead the program in spring 1997.
Sessions for Fast Trac I will be held from 6-9:30 p.m. each Tuesday at the Waco Convention Center beginning Feb. 4. Fast Trac II sessions will be held from 6-9:30 p.m. each Thursday at the Waco Convention Center beginning Feb. 6.
Premier FastTrac is co-sponsored by the Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship, the City of Waco and the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Texas State Technical College, Small Business Development Center/Business Resource Center, McLennan Community College, Cen-Tex Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Heart of Texas Black Chamber of Commerce.
