'Baylor Today' Features Sloan Interview
The February edition of "Baylor Today" features a 45-minute interview with Baylor President Robert B. Sloan Jr. "Baylor Today" is a monthly video magazine produced by the Baylor Office of Public Relations. It airs on The College Channel, cable channel 18 in Waco.
During the informal interview, Sloan looks back at his first eight months as Baylor's president, and discusses how assuming the presidency has affected his family and personal life. He also reviews the accomplishments of his administration during 1995.
In the second half of the interview, Sloan looks ahead and talks about the challenges he foresees for Baylor University in 1996. He also discusses Baylor's new fundraising goals; the work being done by the University Planning Council; his working relationship with Chancellor Herbert Reynolds; his priority of serving the needs of students; and his idea of what a Baylor education should give students.
Also included in the February show is a look at continuing education courses being offered at Baylor; a review of January 1996 news events; and a calendar of campus events for February 1996.
