Baylor to Hold Ministers Conference July 15-17
WACO, Texas - The fifth annual Baylor University Ministers Conference for ministers and their spouses will be held July 15-17.
"The conference is geared to minister to ministers," according to Milton Cunningham, director of denominational ministries and coordinator of the event.
Guest speakers will include Warren Hultgren, pastor, First Baptist Church of Tulsa; Robert Cahill, retired pastor from Salem Oregon; Fred Smith, Sr., founder of Leadership Network; Jeanette Cliff George, After Dining Players, Houston; Robert B. Sloan Jr., president of Baylor and Barry Rock, minister of music, First Baptist Church of Arlington.
The opening message "Called to Care" will be led by Sloan on Monday, July 15, at 7:15 p.m. in Roxy Grove Hall.
Cahill and Smith will give the messages "Rold of the Pastor" and "Snares of the Office" on Tuesday, July 16, at 9 a.m. and 10:30, a.m., respectively in Roxy Grove Hall.
Smith and Hultgren will give the messages "A Layman Looks at His Pastor" and "The Pastor as Leader" on Wednesday, July 17, at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., respectively in Roxy Grove Hall.
Bible studies will be held by Ed Hogan, pastor, First Baptist Church of Arlington, and Ron Cook, pastor, First Baptist Church of Brownwood.
Cost to attend the conference is $100 single or $200 with spouse, which includes campus housing, meals and registration. For commuters the cost is $15 single or $25 with spouse. Registration is limited to the first 250.
