Baylor Student Receives U.S. Supreme Court Internship
Baylor University graduate student Paul D. Wagner was recently confirmed to complete a judicial internship at the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. Wagner was selected to work in the Office of the Administrative Assistant to Chief Justice William Rehnquist.
A former resident of Kansas City, Mo., Wagner currently is completing a master's degree in public policy and administration at Baylor. He earned his bachelor of science degree in political science from Northeast Missouri State University in 1993.
Wagner credits Dr. Terri Davis, lecturer in political science, as a key force in his internship. "Paul has a keen analytical mind. He is very curious, professional, energetic, and he has the ability to discuss and debate politics without alienating people," Davis said.
Davis believes Wagner "represents the ideal student which Baylor promotes."
Following completion of the internship with the Supreme Court, Wagner plans to pursue doctoral studies in political science in the areas of Constitutional Law and Legal Theory.
Wagner is one of only 200 individuals awarded a judicial internship in the Supreme Court Judicial Internship Program since the program began 23 years ago.
Wagner is married to Amy Enderle, formerly of Dalton, Mo. The couple has one daughter.
