About La Fiera de Ojinaga
As a regional Mexican music group, La Fiera De Ojinaga is well known for their unmatched música norteña sound with saxophone and contagious energy on stage. Originally from Ojinaga, Chihuahua – considered the birthplace of the best exponents of norteño-with-sax sound – the five-member ensemble band fronted by Mauricio “Pikaro” Palma has been gaining popularity and captivating their growing fan base since their debut in 2012.
Signed by Azteca Records, La Fiera remastered and released their debut album, “A Prueba...De Todo” (Tested...Against Everything), in 2013, followed a year later by “Incomparable” – which began to define their unique and incomparable style – and their third album, “Como una Fiera” (Like a Wild Beast), in 2015.
In 2017, La Fiera became one of the first groups to innovate in the new era of releasing digital music. Their five-song album, “Más Feroz” (More Fierce), included the first single, “Imposible y Prohibido” (Impossible and Forbidden), which reached the top of the charts. The song’s official video became one of the most viewed on the official Azteca Music Group YouTube channel. Three months later, they released their complete album, “Más Feroz: Deluxe Edition,” and have become one of the most influential bands in contemporary norteño music.
