Leaders in breaking barriers and making history, the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters™ today announced that Waco, Texas, will be a key stop on the team’s 100 Year Tour – the most legendary tour in Globetrotters history – playing at Baylor University’s Foster Pavilion on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 1 p.m. 

This centennial season is a once-in-a-century celebration of 100 Years of jaw-dropping “No Way!” moves, 100 Years of “Wow!” moments and 100 Years of basketball thrills. From gravity-defying dunks to game-changing tricks, fans will feel the history, the joy and the fun that only the Globetrotters can deliver.

For the first time, the team also will debut their new 100 Year jerseys, honoring a century of global impact, as they face off against their longtime rivals, the Washington Generals. Fans at Foster Pavilion also can expect all-new surprises like the Golden Basketball by Spalding®, epic pre-game Magic Pass experiences and an unforgettable 5th Quarter Autograph session (FREE for ALL FANS!) – making this a celebration unlike any other.

BAYLOR BASKETBALL GLOBETROTTER CONNECTIONS

The most prominent Baylor basketball player to play for the Harlem Globetrotters is Baylor Hall of Famer Aundre “Hot Shot” Branch, a sharpshooting guard who starred for the Bears in the early 1990s and later spent eight years with the Globetrotters. Branch was known for his long-range ability on 3-pointers and later showcasing his skills on the Globetrotters’ famous 4-point shot during tours. Another notable connection is Baylor Hall of Famer, NCAA and WNBA Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist Brittney Griner, who was drafted by the Globetrotters in 2013, but played professionally in the WNBA and overseas instead.
