Fresh off a rollicking closing set with Post Malone at California’s Stagecoach Music Festival, Braxton Keith is headed back to his home state of Texas and ready to bring his throwback 90’s twang to the stage on Friday, Oct. 2, at Baylor University’s Foster Pavilion, Waco’s premier concert destination.
A Midland, Texas native named one of 2026’s Artists to Watch by Amazon Music and Rolling Stone and the Next Big Thing Class of 2026 by MusicRow, Braxton Keith has quickly become one of country’s most buzzed-about rising stars. And that buzz is about to burst with today’s drop of his debut album, Real D*mn Deal, featuring the 90’s-inspired “Little Bit by Little Bit,” full-on Western Swing anthem “I Ain’t Tryin’” and the barstool romp “I Own This Bar.”
Nashville-based artist and songwriter Cassidy Daniels, who most recently was a contestant on the CBS/Paramount TV series “The Road,” will open for Keith at Foster Pavilion.
ABOUT BRAXTON KEITH
With his debut album Real D*mn Deal, Braxton Keith’s 15-track collection showcases every classic country sound under the neon – from Texas honky-tonk to Western swing – all delivered with his crisp, high-and-lonesome twang. Choosing that straight-talking declaration for the name of his debut album, the Midland, Texas, native joins a wave of new artists both schooled on the classics and built for the moment. But with the wind firmly at his back, Keith hits a target many aim for, and few reach. Making classic country sound fresh once more.
Featuring songs which trace a circle around the whole of country tradition, Real D*mn Deal finds Keith amid a steep, exponential career climb. He was raised on classic icons like Porter Wagoner, Ronnie Milsap and George Strait, then built a Texas-sized reputation as a must-see live act out of college. But since then, he’s busted out of the Lone Star circuit completely, signing a major label record deal with Warner Records Nashville, traveling the country in a fleet of buses and accumulating 400 million streams across the globe.
A constant schedule in 2025 included more than 130 shows, a headline tour powered by a ravenous social media following and his Grand Ole Opry debut. Last year also saw Keith’s first RIAA GOLD certification for his deceptively chilly hit, “Cozy,” plus a series of attention-grabbing singles and acclaim from Rolling Stone, Billboard, American Songwriter and more. All hailed his throwback twang and Keith’s 2026 “This Ain’t My First Tour” Tour continued, keeping his road-dog credentials current. His full-length album debut, proudly rooted in the swagger, sway and stylistic stretch of a Texas dancehall, will only fuel his rise.
To that end, Real D*mn Deal was assembled over Keith’s last two years of growth, with the young star carving out time to write and record between lengthy trips on tour. He co-penned 10 of his debut album’s 15 songs, showcasing a little of every classic country flavor found under the neon. Hot Texas honky tonk and joyful Western swing. Epic midnight balladry, and two-step anthems lost in head-spinning romance. The ache of a cowboy with a full glass, but an empty barstool beside him.
Each is delivered with Keith’s crisp, high-and-lonesome vocal twang, as he glides from one dancehall theme to the next. Whether it’s the reckless abandon of young love, or the reflective pain of a good thing gone to waste, his passion for pure-country expression is boundless. The ‘90s come alive through his richly-textured, 90s-inspired romp “Little Bit by Little Bit,” the full-on Western Swing anthem “I Ain’t Tryin’” that takes Keith’s country comeback beyond nostalgia and the barstool romp “I Own This Bar” that finds him “at his most charismatic” (All Country News), channeling his inner Jerry Reed as a pair of smooth talkers meet their match.
Full concert amenities, including beer, will be available.
