On National Research Administrator Day, Baylor University is celebrating the people who make research possible while highlighting a growing body of faculty work dedicated to addressing challenges and opportunities important to the future of Texas.
This year's observance centers on a theme of Research Solutions for Texas, reflecting Baylor's longstanding commitment to serving its home state through research that uniquely serves Texans and the industries vital to the state’s growth and competitiveness.
This year's campaign will be featured across Baylor’s digital platforms, including Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn, along with digital ads in the Texas Tribune and on Waco billboards. The campaign showcases how Baylor’s research enterprise contributes to pivotal Texas fields such as aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, transportation, energy, water resources and more.
“National Research Administrator Day has become an annual celebration of Baylor research and the people who make it possible,” said Jason Cook, Vice President for Marketing and Communications and Chief Marketing Officer at Baylor. “We have much to celebrate, thanks to dedicated colleagues across campus whose work has helped shape Baylor into a distinct Christian research university. Even as Baylor research impacts lives around the world, this year we are proud to highlight work that serves our home state through a ‘Research Solutions for Texas’ theme. Texas's oldest continuously operating university
Baylor’s connection to Texas predates statehood, as the University was chartered in 1845 while Texas was still a republic. Today, that relationship continues through research that serves the people, communities and industries helping shape Texas’s future.
“For 181 years, Baylor has helped serve Texas through education, leadership and discovery,” said Kevin Chambliss, Ph.D., Vice Provost for Research at Baylor. “Today, that commitment continues through research that addresses the opportunities and challenges shaping our state’s future. National Research Administrator Day is observed annually to recognize the professionals who support research through administration, compliance, financial management, proposal development and countless behind-the-scenes efforts that help discoveries move from idea to impact.
