ABOUT HOWDY AT THE HURD

Singer-songwriter-guitarist Ty Myers will headline Howdy at the Hurd, hosted by Pi Beta Phi and Baylor University. Howdy at the Hurd will begin at 6 p.m. in and around the Mark and Paula Hurd Welcome Center with local food trucks and vendors, line dancing to longhorn cattle and a Ferris wheel. Myers’ free concert for students will begin at 8:30 p.m. on Dutton Avenue.

A tradition at Baylor since 1962, Pi Beta Phi's All University Howdy serves as the “first official Texas welcome to campus” for all students. The event benefits Pi Phi’s philanthropy, Read>Lead>Achieve, which promotes and encourages children’s literacy.

*NOTE: Standard football home gameday road and parking garage closures will be in effect on Saturday.
