Parking Lot and Road Closures, BUS Route Detours in Effect for Homecoming Activities

Several parking lots and roads on and around the Baylor University campus in Waco will be closed starting Wednesday, Oct. 29, due to Baylor Homecoming-related activities. Baylor University Shuttle (BUS) services also will be modified.

Motorists and pedestrians should follow the direction of personnel on site and signs posted in these areas.

Wednesday, Oct. 29 - Dinner with the Livingstones, 6 to 8 PM

  • Lot 36 Cashion Academic Center
  • Lot 42 Sid Richardson Building
  • Lot 50 Russell Gym

• ROAD CLOSURES BEGINNING AT 2 PM WEDNESDAY

  • Third Street at Bagby Avenue
  • Fourth Street at Speight Garage
  • Speight Avenue from Third Street to Fourth Street

• BUS STOP moves at 2 PM Wednesday to the East Village Dining Commons

Friday, Oct. 31 – Homecoming at the Hurd, Fall Family Festival on Third Street, Extravaganza, Pep Rally & Bonfire and other festivities

The following parking lots and roads will be closed all day on Friday, Oct. 31, in support of Homecoming at the Hurd, Fall Family Festival on Third Street, Extravaganza, Pep Rally and Bonfire, and other festivities.

  • Lot 6 Armstrong Browning Library & Museum
  • Lot 35 Morrison Hall
  • Lots 38 and 39 around North and South Russell Hall
  • Lots 41 and 46 around Castellaw Communications Center
  • Lot 44 behind Rogers Engineering
  • Lot 47 west side of Moody Memorial Library

• ALL-DAY ROAD CLOSURES FRIDAY

  • Baylor Avenue to Third Street and west side of Moody Memorial Library
  • Third Street from Moody Memorial Library to Dutton Avenue

• ROAD CLOSURES AT 2 PM FRIDAY

  • Dutton Avenue from University Parks Drive to Fourth Street
  • Third Street from JH Kultgen Expressway to Dutton Avenue
  • Fourth Street from the Penland Tennis Courts to Dutton Avenue

• DUTTON GARAGE

  • Dutton Garage will close to students at 6 PM Friday like a normal gameday.
  • The garage will remain open until midnight for visitors attending Homecoming at the Hurd events.

• ROAD CLOSURES AT 7 AM SATURDAY

  • Fifth Street from Dutton Avenue to Bagby Avenue
  • MP Daniel Esplanade between Fifth Street and Seventh Street

• Homecoming Parade

  • The Baylor Homecoming Parade will step off at 7 AM Saturday at Eighth Street and Austin Avenue in downtown Waco and travel down Fourth Street before entering campus on Fifth Street at approximately at 7:30 AM.

• Hurd Welcome Center

  • The Hurd Welcome Center will be open from 7 AM to 11 AM Saturday with activities, the Baylor Spirit Shop and food trucks. The Hurd Welcome Center will reopen after the game from 2:30 PM to 6 PM.

• Football Kickoff

  • The Baylor-UCF game will kick off at 11 AM Saturday at McLane Stadium.

*NOTE: Standard football home gameday road closures will be in effect on Saturday.
