UPDATE 2:15 p.m. CT: AT&T Reports Restored Wireless Service - Nationwide Wireless Service Outage

UPDATE: By 2:15 p.m. CT, AT&T reported it had restored wireless service to all affected customers. 

WACO, Texas (Feb. 22, 2024) - Some of the nation's largest wireless carriers are experiencing outages or disruptions to their services today, Thursday, Feb. 22. Restoration is not known at this time. This outage is affecting some users locally and on the Baylor University campus in Waco, Texas.

Mobile carriers are reporting that - during this outage - devices are going into "SOS Mode," which will still allow emergency calls to 911.

Carriers are advising customers with no service to enable "Wi-Fi Calls" on their device as a temporary workaround.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW IF YOU ARE ON THE BAYLOR WACO CAMPUS

BUPD - To reach the Baylor University Police Department, first call the campus emergency number at 254-710-2222. If your call does not go through, call 911. Your call will be routed to the local 911 Center. As a reminder, you can download the Rave Guardian app  to communicate with BUPD. The app is available via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
