WACO, Texas (Dec. 12, 2023) - Baylor Dining has set Feb. 16, 2024, for the reopening the 1845 Memorial Dining Hall. The brief delay in Memorial’s reopening after winter break is due to essential and exciting renovations at the adjacent Memorial and Alexander residence halls.

Penland Crossroads will open starting Jan. 7 from  5 to 8 p.m.

Flying Saucer/Southwest Salad at East Village: In those first few weeks of classes, Baylor Dining invites the community to enjoy the crowd favorite, Flying Saucer, at East Village Dining Commons. The Flying Saucer is a staple item from Memorial and will be available at the round grill at East Village. The Southwest Salad from Memorial also will be featured at East Village.

Brooks Dining opening between meal periods: Recognizing the importance of a comfortable and inviting space for socializing and studying, Baylor Dining will open Brooks Dining Hall between meal periods so students can gather. Brooks will offer a relaxed atmosphere for studying, accompanied by complimentary hot cocoa and coffee to enhance the overall experience.

"We appreciate the patience of our community as we work towards creating an even more welcoming and enjoyable space at 1845 Memorial," said Sean McMahon, district manager of Baylor Dining. “We know Memorial is a favorite; however, we encourage guests to visit our other dining facilities on campus. We will also be featuring promotions within retail spaces during that time, where students can take advantage of their cash equivalency.”

Baylor Dining looks forward to welcoming patrons to the enhanced 1845 Memorial on Feb. 16, 2024, where they can enjoy both familiar favorites and exciting new offerings.
