Baylor University Waco Campus to Shift to Remote Instruction, Telework All Day Tuesday and Wednesday Morning, Jan. 31-Feb. 1, 2023
WACO, Texas (Jan. 30, 2023) - With the National Weather Service placing Central and North Texas under a Winter Storm Warning – with the potential for icy conditions in our area beginning overnight – Baylor University-Waco campus will hold classes via remote instruction and staff will telework on Tuesday and on Wednesday morning, Jan. 31-Feb. 1, 2023. Wednesday classes beginning at 12:20 p.m. will be held in person.
The main impact to the Waco/Central Texas area is expected to be ice-related, making road conditions hazardous. We strongly encourage students, faculty and staff to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.
For staff who are unable to telework, please consult your direct supervisor.
NURSING SCHOOL IN DALLAS

MONDAY NIGHT ACTIVITIES
Activities scheduled for tonight are still being held. However, the University continues to monitor weather conditions and will update the campus community accordingly.
Baylor University-Waco campus will hold classes via remote instruction all day on Tuesday and on Wednesday morning, Jan. 31-Feb. 1, 2023. Wednesday classes beginning at 12:20 p.m. will be held in person.
DINING AND FOOD
Penland and East Village residential dining halls will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner service. The SUB food court will be open during its regular hours.
Baylor Libraries Moody and Jones will remain open. Special libraries will be closed.
MCLANE STUDENT LIFE CENTER/BAYLOR HEALTH CENTER
The McLane SLC will be closed on Tuesday and reopen at noon on Wednesday. The Baylor Health Center also will be closed on Tuesday and reopen at noon on Wednesday. Health Center appointments scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday morning should be rescheduled.The Baylor Health Center will still operate its mobile flu shot clinic on Wednesday, Feb 1, in the first floor CUB area in the Bill Daniel Student Center but with updated hours from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Advance appointments can be made through the Health Portal on the Baylor Health Center website, but walk-in appointments for the flu shot will be available.
If students are in need of healthcare or counseling during this time, 24/7 access is available for on-demand urgent care and counseling services through Baylor Telehealth by AcademicLiveCare.
On Tuesday, regular BUS Routes (Green, Gold, Blue, Red, Silver) will NOT be in operation. The After Hours Connection Route will start at 11 a.m., serving both Baylor Cityside and University Parks Apartments. Please note that stop timing may be disrupted by weather.
On Wednesday, regular BUS Routes (Green, Gold, Blue, Red, Silver) will BEGIN operation at 11 a.m.

Parking garages are open, however, due to icy conditions, Baylor Parking & Transportation Services may close the top levels of the garages depending on conditions.BOOKSTORE, MAIL SERVICES, COPY CENTER The Baylor Bookstore is closed Tuesday but plans a delayed opening at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Mail Center in the SUB will be open Tuesday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., but university mail routes will not run Tuesday. On Wednesday, the Mail Center anticipates a delayed opening with mail routes running in the afternoon. The Copy Center will be closed on Tuesday and plans a delayed opening Wednesday at noon.
