Baylor University Waco Campus Extends Remote Instruction, Telework through Wednesday, Feb. 1

The SUB is open until 7 p.m. today with food court dining available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Mail Center at the SUB is closed today. University mail routes will not run.
The Baylor women's basketball game vs. Kansas will be held at 7 p.m. in the Ferrell Center. Admission to tonight's game is FREE. Parking will operate on a first come, first served basis. Fans attending the game are encouraged to park as close to the entrance as possible. Handicap spaces will still require the necessary plate or placard. Please continue to monitor the weather and road conditions.

WACO, Texas (Jan. 31, 2023) - The National Weather Service has extended its Winter Storm Warning through Thursday morning for North and Central Texas as continued precipitation and below-freezing temperatures worsen icy road conditions. Baylor University-Waco campus will extend holding classes via remote instruction through Wednesday, Feb. 1, and staff will continue to telework during this time. University officials will continue to monitor conditions regarding Thursday operations.
We strongly encourage students, faculty and staff to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.
For staff who are unable to telework, please consult your direct supervisor.
NURSING SCHOOL IN DALLAS
For Dallas nursing campus, please watch your email for instructions from Dean Plank.
University activities for Tuesday and Wednesday have been canceled. A decision regarding the Baylor-Kansas women’s basketball game on Wednesday night has not been made at this time.
DINING AND FOOD
Penland and East Village residential dining halls will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner service. The food court and Common Grounds in the SUB will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Baylor Libraries Moody and Jones will remain open. Special libraries will be closed.
MCLANE STUDENT LIFE CENTER/BAYLOR HEALTH CENTER/FLU SHOT CLINIC
The McLane SLC will be closed through Wednesday.
The Baylor Health Center also will be closed through Wednesday. Health Center appointments scheduled during this time should be rescheduled.
The Health Center has postponed its Feb. 1 mobile flu shot clinic until next week.
If students are in need of healthcare or counseling during this time, 24/7 access is available for on-demand urgent care and counseling services through Baylor Telehealth by AcademicLiveCare.
Regular BUS Routes (Green, Gold, Blue, Red, Silver) will NOT be in operation Tuesday through Wednesday.
The After Hours Connection Route will operate Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. for Baylor Cityside and University Parks Apartments only. Please note that stop timing may be disrupted by weather.

Parking garages are open. However, due to icy conditions, Baylor Parking & Transportation Services has closed the top levels of the garages.
ACCESS TO BUILDINGS
Doors to University buildings will be card swipe access only until Thursday during regular hours.
BOOKSTORE, MAIL SERVICES, COPY CENTER
The Baylor Bookstore is closed through Wednesday.
The Mail Center in the SUB will be open Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., but university mail routes will not run.
The Copy Center will be closed through Wednesday and plans to reopen on Thursday.
