WACO, Texas (April 25, 2023) – Highlighted by the graduate entrepreneurship program breaking into the Top 10 nationally, several Baylor University graduate and professional programs were among those nationally ranked in the 2024 Best Graduate Schools rankings, released today by U.S. News & World Report.

Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business

Among the U.S. News Best Business Schools, the full-time MBA program in Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business is ranked at No. 60 overall, highlighted by the graduate program in entrepreneurship moving up into the Top 10 at No. 10 in the nation.

The Hankamer School of Business also features a pair of graduate programs ranked in the U.S. News Top 20 in healthcare administration:

Baylor School of Education

The Baylor School of Education’s graduate program in elementary teacher education debuted in the U.S. News Best Education Schools rankings at No. 22 in the nation while the graduate program in curriculum and instruction moved up to No. 24 nationally. The School of Education’s overall graduate program is ranked No. 138.

Baylor Louise Herrington School of Nursing

In the U.S. News Best Nursing Schools rankings, the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program in Baylor’s Louise Herrington School of Nursing in Dallas is ranked No. 66 in the nation.

Although not newly ranked this year, two Baylor graduate nursing programs are noted in the U.S. News Best Nursing specialty rankings:

Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences

In the U.S. News Best Public Health Schools rankings, Baylor’s public health graduate program in the Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences ranked No. 76 nationally.

Although not newly ranked this year, two graduate programs in Robbins College are noted in the U.S. News Best Public Health Schools specialty rankings:

Baylor School of Engineering and Computer Science

In the U.S. News rankings of Best Engineering Schools, the engineering graduate program in Baylor’s School of Engineering and Computer Science is ranked No. 161 among Best Engineering Schools.

In the U.S. News engineering specialty rankings, Baylor’s graduate program in mechanical engineering moved up to No. 111 while the electrical engineering graduate program moved up to No. 122.

Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities in the College of Arts & Sciences

Baylor’s Diana R. Garland School of Social Work

Although not newly ranked this year by U.S. News, the social work graduate program in Baylor’s Diana R. Garland School of Social Work is ranked No. 51 in the nation.

U.S. News first published a reputation-only graduate school ranking in 1987. The annual “America’s Best Graduate Schools” report began in 1990. The annual rankings evaluate graduate programs in a variety of disciplines, including business, education, engineering and nursing, through academic expert opinion about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school's faculty, research and students. U.S. News also periodically ranks programs in the sciences, social sciences and humanities, health, and other fields based solely on academic experts' ratings.
