I-35 Update: Crews to Close University Parks Drive Tonight for My35 Construction

WACO, Texas (October 6, 2020) – The Texas Department of Transportation plans to close all lanes of University Parks Drive, where they cross under the I-35 mainlanes, tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 6, to continue work on the southbound I-35 overpass. Westbound drivers on University Parks Drive will be directed to the northbound frontage road where they can cross under I-35 at MLK Boulevard or continue north to enter the northbound mainlanes. Eastbound drivers will be directed to the southbound frontage road where they can turn around at 4th/5th Streets to reconnect with University Parks Drive.

Depending on work progress, crews may close University Parks Drive again on Wednesday night.

Overnight Lane Closure Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 7 p.m. – 6 a.m.
• Saturday: 7 p.m. – 10 a.m.
• Sunday: 10 p.m. – 6 a.m.
