Baylor’s Christmas on 5th Street to Feature JOHNNYSWIM and The Lone Bellow

WACO, Texas (Dec. 1, 2014) – Emerging performers JOHNNYSWIM and The Lone Bellow will perform in concert at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, in Waco Hall during Baylor University’s annual Christmas on 5th Street holiday celebration.

Tickets are $15 general admission and $20 at the door. Student tickets are $10. Tickets can be purchased at the Bill Daniel Student Center ticket office, 1311 S. Fifth Street, or online at www.baylor.edu/tickets/.

All proceeds from the concert will be donated to assist Central Texas students desiring to attend summer camp with Young Life or K-Life.

JOHNNYSWIM, a folk music duo from Nashville with a name whose origin is the center of an array of stories, has released one LP and three EPs alongside many other singles during their career. Their new Christmas album, “A JOHNNYSWIM Christmas,” was released Nov. 10.

Brooklyn, New York-based The Lone Bellow started as a solo project, but eventually grew into the three-piece band it is today. Their self-titled album, “The Lone Bellow,” reached No. 64 on the Billboard 200.

“We are excited to support and welcome great artists to a great event in Christmas on 5th Street,” said Matt Burchett, director of student activities at Baylor. “We are even more excited that the event will support students in Central Texas involved with Young Life and K-Life.”
