WACO, Texas (April 25, 2014) – Baylor University’s undergraduate scholarly publication, “The Pulse,” will host its annual student lecture at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, in the Alexander Reading Room to celebrate the publication of its spring edition.
Senior university scholars major Jeff Cross will speak on “Horace and the Underworld: Shades of Immortality.”
Jeff Hunt, Ph.D., lecturer of classics in Baylor’s department of classics, is the faculty advisor for “The Pulse.” He said he hopes the evening will promote the publication and the good work of the students who manage it.
“The students do great work on this research, and we are hoping the evening promotes both their work and the publication as a whole,” he said. “We are hoping to attract as many students as possible.”
“The Pulse” publishes multiple editions each year, including a printed edition in the spring and other online editions in fall and spring. It is the forum for top-quality student research in the Honors College and Baylor University at large.
