Baylor University Voice Faculty Honor Schumann Bicentennial in a Concert Series

Seven members of the Baylor University vocal faculty will join with pianist Jeffrey Peterson to perform a commemorative recital entitled "A Celebration in Song" at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, in Roxy Grove Hall in Waco Hall.
The concert is honoring the bicentennial birth of German composer Robert Schumann (1810-1856).
The performing Baylor University faculty will be soprano Deborah Williamson, mezzo-soprano Soon Cho, tenor Randall Umstead, baritone Robert Best, baritone Jack Coldiron, bass Daniel Scott and pianist Jeffrey Peterson.
A selection of Schumann's songs will be performed including; "Seit ich ihn gesehen," "Blondels Lied," "Die beiden Grenadiere," "Ich bin dein Baum," and "Nun has du mir den ersten Schmerz getan."
All faculty artists will participate in a tribute to close the program.
This concert is free and open to the public.
