Plebeian Monarchs to Perform in Waco Hall Nov. 14
The Plebeian Monarchs, a local band, will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in Waco Hall at Baylor University.
The group is comprised of four men, two of whom are Baylor students and one Baylor alumnus. Greg Vanderpool, a Baylor student, is the guitarist and vocalist for the group. Chris Godbey, a Baylor student, plays the base guitar. Patrick Collins, a 1996 Baylor graduate, is another guitarist and vocalist for the group. Steven Scheifley plays the drums.
Vanderpool said the group plays original rock and roll music which is similar to U2 and The Police. The group will play songs from its album "Equus" which include "Great Wall Burning," "A Long Time Longing," and "Woman at the Well."
The group has been together for about a year. "We wanted to play where people can come and listen to the music, where the focus is the music," said Vanderpool.
Compact discs and other merchandise will be sold at the concert.
Tickets are $4 in advance and $5 at the door. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m.
