EdTech: Teacher Shortage: Is Hybrid or Remote Teaching the Answer?
Greg Speegle, Ph.D., professor of computer science at Baylor, is working to resolve the STEM teacher shortage through his Central Texas Computational Thinking, Coding and Tinkering project. “People who understand computer science and other scientific fields have opportunities to be far better paid, either in companies or even in universities, which puts public schools at a severe disadvantage,” Speegle said.

KWTX: Baylor professor helps students teach complex science to others
Marty Harvill, Ph.D., senior lecturer of biology at Baylor, is recognized as a “Be Remarkable” winner for his I-Bears initiative to bridge local elementary schools with Baylor students to help them learn complex science research topics. The $500 prize will go to purchase a Starlink satellite internet service for I-Bears.
Waco Tribune-Herald: ‘Baylor Christmas’ to be broadcast on local TV during holiday season
“A Baylor Christmas” concert, filmed in 2023 and featuring the Baylor School of Music’s choirs and the Baylor Symphony Orchestra, will be broadcast nationwide in December on 113 Gray Media Group stations.
