Baylor President Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D., is among three higher education leaders interviewed for this article about universities fortifying civil dialogue initiatives on campus ahead of the U.S. presidential election. Dr. Livingstone served as a task force member on the Council on Independent College’s Campus Free Expression Project and also released Baylor’s new strategic plan in September that included civil dialogue as one of the plan’s four pillars.

Waco Tribune-Herald: Baylor transfers mammoth bones, photos to National Park Service
Baylor President Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D., and National Park Service Acting Superintendent Christine Jacobs officially signed an agreement that formally transferred ownership of thousands of Columbian mammoth fossils and excavation photographs discovered near Waco more than 40 years ago from the Mayborn Museum to the NPS, firming up Baylor and Waco as a center for ongoing research into the mammoths and the period when they roamed Central Texas some 65,000 years ago.
