Delays Expected Today at 4th/5th Street Intersections

June 12, 2019

WACO, Texas (June 12, 2019) - TxDOT has sent out a notification that the construction contractor plans to replace the traffic lights with temporary lights at the 4th & 5th Street intersections under I-35 tomorrow, beginning around 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, June 12, 2019).

They expect the lights will be off from 1-3 hours, depending on accessing power and switching control to the new units. Until power is connected and the new lights are working properly, flaggers will be in place with STOP signs to assist in directing traffic.

Expect delays while this operation is in place. Alternate routes are strongly advised.
