WACO, Texas (January 19, 2016) – The Baylor University School of Music will host its Spring Lyceum Series, offering Baylor and the surrounding community the opportunity to participate in a variety of performances by some of the nation’s leading musicians.

WACO, Texas (Jan. 13, 2016) — Baylor University Symphony Orchestra has won first place in The American Prize competition’s orchestra division for universities and colleges — its second consecutive year to do so — while Baylor Wind Ensemble placed second in the university/college wind competition, the first time it has entered the event.

WACO, Texas (Dec. 18, 2015) – In observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, Baylor University will be closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 1. Administrative offices will have adjusted hours during the break. Classes for the spring semester will begin on Jan. 11.

WACO, Texas (Oct. 23, 2015) – As part of Homecoming 2015, Baylor University and the Baylor Chamber of Commerce unveiled a six-foot by nine-foot artistic structure to immortalize the university’s Eternal Flame tradition. A revered part of Homecoming, the Eternal Flame tradition honors the lives of Baylor basketball players, known as the Immortal Ten, who were killed in a bus-train accident in 1927.

WACO, Texas (Oct. 7, 2015) – The Greater Waco Chamber will host guest speaker Richard Cooper, vice president of research and emerging issues at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, to discuss “Innovation that Matters” at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at the Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC).

WACO, Texas (Oct. 6, 2015) – Several members of the National Commission on Hunger are coming together at the national Together at the Table: Hunger & Poverty Summit at Baylor University, Oct. 7-9, to discuss their experience on the Commission and what they hope to see come of their work, in the near and long-term future.
